Future Eclipse Shines Bright at Playdates

The East Bay Eclipse U8 program, Future Eclipse, has been putting their skills to the test this fall at playdates with other local Bay Area clubs. At U8 playdates, our Future Eclipse players break into teams of 4 to compete in 4v4 small-sided soccer games. The games are played on small fields with small goals (no goalies). This style of play encourages all players to be involved in the action and get touches on the ball. It is a proven style of play that maximizes development during these key years when players are developing their technical foundations.

Future Eclipse players practice twice/week during the Eclipse season. Coaches teach players technical and tactical skills at the level they are at to help develop them for continued future growth. The most important part of the program though is that our players have fun and build a love for soccer!
