Eclipse Girls Play Soccer by the Bay

Four of our East Bay Eclipse girls teams headed out to the San Mateo area this past weekend to compete in the Soccer by the Bay tournament. The U12, U14, U15 Lunar and U18 girls teams all fought hard and played good soccer throughout the weekend to cap a great summer full of developmental training and fun!

The U12 Girls made the jump into Silver competition and put their improvement on great display, as the girls only lost to a  very strong team from Santa Cruz all weekend. A narrow loss to Mustang in the third game of the tournament just left the U14 Girls out of the final round of play after a strong Saturday performance. The U15 Girls Lunar team collected a win Saturday and held the lead against a strong gold team from Palo Alto in their final game Sunday, showing that they are willing to take on the challenge of tougher opponents. Our U18 girls team put on display the best possession-based system of play in all three of their games despite the majority of the team being U16 – the future is bright for these girls! Congrats to all of our girls teams who played Soccer by the Bay and made Eclipse proud!
